Protectosil® water repellents extend the application season
As winter's colder temperatures settle in, construction projects can experience costly delays- even when it comes to water repellents.
The application range for most water repellent products is 40°F to 100°F. Cost-effective alternatives are Evonik VOC compliant, low-temperature water repellents for concrete, concrete masonry units, brick, and stone.
Increase productivity in cold weather
Evonik's Protectosil® products are designed to be applied at temperatures as low as 20°F. With Evonik water
repellents, waterproofing projects can often be initiated and completed throughout the winter months when
temperatures are below freezing for weeks at a time.

These water repellents are deep-penetrating, alkyltrialkoxy silanes which chemically bond with the substrate resulting in permanent attachment of the water repellent molecule for long-term protection. By reducing the infiltration of water and water-borne contaminants such as salt and dirt, these products guard against
rebar corrosion, efflorescence and freeze-thaw damage.
