Protectosil® WS 602: Effective building protection.

Our new Protectosil® WS 602 supports the construction industry's desire for water-based, environmentally friendly emulsions for building protection.
The waterborne emulsion shows very good penetration on absorbent mineral materials, such as roof tiles, bricks and fiber cement boards. It penetrates deep into the substrate and forms a colorless long-term protection that significantly reduces water absorption from the outside, while water vapor from the inside can still escape. When Protectosil® is applied to porous substrates, they absorb 90% less water than unprotected samples. This is effective protection against the ingress of water and the pollutants dissolved in it. Laboratory results confirm that the protection of Protectosil® WS 602 persists even when the substrate shows small microcracks up to 0.3 millimeters wide.
At the same time, the water-based emulsion is particularly environmentally friendly: The product was developed that only low amounts of volatile organic compounds are released during its use. Its use significantly extends the service life of the materials it protects. This helps to avoid repairs and replacements and the associated carbon dioxide emissions. To avoid environmental pollution caused by unnecessary packaging materials, Protectosil® WS 602 is offered in concentrated form. Straight before application, the product is diluted to the desired concentration with demineralized water.
