The long-lasting beading effect with Protectosil® 


The porous nature of many building materials allows water to penetrate via capillary suction into the pores what causes various damages starting from corrosion of the reinforcing steel to salt burst and freeze-thaw. The treatment with Protectosil® water repellents, penetrating deep into the substrate, provides an effective and durable protection against humidity. Simultaneously, the products maintain the substrate's water vapor permeability.


Protectosil® 008 is an almost VOC-free, frost resistant, highly reactive water repellent, especially suitable for the hydrophobizing impregnation of concrete in outdoor areas.

Protectosil® 009 is an almost VOC-free, frost resistant water repellent and especially suited for the impregnation of concrete and other porous mineral substrates with excellent beading effect.

Protectosil® 100 is a free-flowing, almost VOC-free, colorless, frost resistant, liquid based on a monomeric silane, especially developed for waterproofing mineral substrates, in particular low-porosity substrates such as concrete (road bridges, port installations, marine concrete structures, concrete facades, exposed aggregate concrete), clinker masonry and ceramic tiles as well as waterproofing under coating systems.

Protectosil® 100 N is a free-flowing, colorless, almost VOC-free liquid water repellent based on a monomeric silane, specially intended for the external waterproofing of mineral building materials.

Protectosil® 100 NK is suitable for the waterproofing of porous mineral building materials. An excellent beading effect develops on suitable substrates only a short time after application.

Protectosil® 100 SK is a high performance low VOC ethoxy-functional oligomeric siloxane providing an excellent beading effect on mineral substrates, as well as outstanding water repellency.

Protectosil® 266 is a water repellent for masonry and acts as a free-flowing colorless to slightly yellow, frost resistant liquid based on a silane/siloxane. 

Protectosil® 40 S is specifically intended for the water repellent impregnation of absorbent mineral facade construction materials.

Protectosil® 60 SK is a high performance silane based water repellent for masonry with beading effect and free of tinorganic compounds.

Protectosil® 800 is specifically suitable for the water repellent impregnation of mineral construction materials in outdoor areas. Its low volatility and viscosity make Protectosil® 800 an easy-to-handle additive. 

Protectosil® 871 effectively hydrophobizes bricks and mortar, terracotta and other clay materials and is also suited for the damp proof causing of brickwork. It is free of methanol and liberates no flammable and volatile organic compounds. 

Protectosil® BHN is a low VOC, environmentally friendly water repellent impregnation for concrete, clinker masonry, and ceramic tiles, especially suitable in outdoor areas. The product reaches very high penetration depth.

Protectosil® WS 328 is a  low VOC emulsion based on reactive organomodified siloxanes for the water repellent impregnation of absorbent, mineral substrates with excellent beading properties.

Protectosil® WS 410, an aqueous emulsion based on organofunctional silanes, is suited for the water-repellent impregnation of porous mineral substrates such as mineral rendered facades, limestone and clinker masonry, concrete, gas concrete, roofing tiles and mineral insulation materials. 

Protectosil® WS 600, almost VOC-free, is suited for the water repellent impregnation of porous mineral substrates and very efficient on mineral rendering, sand-lime brickwork, hard-baked brickwork and roofing tiles.

Protectosil® WS 610 is an almost VOC-free organofunctional siloxane based water-borne emulsion, used for water proofing of mineral building materials. The main application is facade impregnation creating a water beading effect at the surface.

Protectosil® WS 808 is almost VOC-free and especially suited as water repellent for low-fired clay products (e.g. roofing tiles, common brick, floor tiles, terracotta) as well as various natural stones, sandstones and gypsum.
