Innovation award at the DEUBAU 2008 for Protectosil^® DRY CIT in the category "Product with high architectural quality":

For the sixth time the architectural trade journals AIT and xia IntelligenteArchitektur were offering the Innovation Prize for Architecture and Construction on the occasion of the DEUBAU 2008 fair in Essen.

The Innovation Prize for Architecture and Construction honours products and conceptual solutions which are convincing with regard to both creative and technical aspects of architectonic significance. Important criteria were functional quality, product originality as well as serving as a key to a vast variety of applications.

In the category "products of high architectural quality" one of the Innovation Prizes was awarded to Evonik's product Protectosil^® DRY CIT.

Protectosil^® DRY CIT is the first of its kind solid corrosion inhibitor for proven protection of concrete rebars over decades. With this innovative breakthrough Evonik Degussa has ushered in a new era of silane technology offering their customers tailor-made silane product solutions in liquid as well as in powder form.
