Water Repellents
Application
Protectosil® CHEM-TRETE® and Protectosil® AQUA-TRETE® water repellents come in a variety of forms to suit your specific needs.
Application methods vary between individual products, but in general liquid water-repellents may be applied to clean, dry surfaces with airless sprayguns, avoiding atomization. The amount of product required varies with the density and porosity of the building material and testing on the specific surface is recommended.
Some products, such as Protectosil® BHN and Protectosil® CHEM-TRETE® 40 VOC do not leave a residue on glass or metal. Since windows and window frames do not need to be covered, application is easy and cost-efficient.
