The porous nature of many building materials allows water to penetrate via capillary suction into the pores that causes various damages starting from corrosion of reinforcing steel to salt burst and freeze-thaw. The treatment with Protectosil® water repellents, penetrating deep into the substrate, provide effective and durable protection against humidity. Simultaneously the products maintain the substrate's water vapor permeability.
Protectosil® water repellent products are also suitable for the protection of bricks.

Protectosil® water repellents penetrate deep into the building material. External water is kept from entering the pores of the substrate.
